Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Simply stunning, fun, and all staff lived what they did and were very kind - and welcoming to our two dogs! Very recommended in every way."
"Lovely place the owner so kind to my Daughter the food was delicious"
"Very good meal near the famous Plaza. Food is very good. I had the homemade gazpacho and the steak was excellent. They also brought out three different olive oils in which to dip my bread. Once the owner saw me making the scarpetta with the soup, he asked me if I wanted it topped off. Wow. I'll be back."
"Tremendeous and well presented food, very friendly staff, warm and nice atmosphere. The desert style is extremly interesting."
"My girlfriend and I were looking for a restaurant close to our hotel; we then stumbled across this place and it was an experience never to forget. It started with us being the only ones in the restaurant (it soon became busier around 21:00) and we were placed in a nice private table surrounded by Valentine’s Day references. The service was swift and super attentive, with the waiters explaining all the options on and off the menu (there were several extra things not on the menu which is always nice to have). They then came with a big loaf of bread, on the house, and three different brands of olive oil. Afterwards, the main course was delicious and plentiful. The highlight for us was, however, the dessert. One of the best desserts we have ever had; a pistache cake with a ton of extra delicious things next to it. Absolutely amazing! At last they offered a ‘chupito’ on the house and after paying they offered yet another one! The owner explained us the story of the restaurant and gave us some flowers upon leaving. An experience we will never forget!"
"Adding another 5 star! We had a lovely meal and experience and will definitely come back to try more of the dishes on the menu. Highly recommended"
"We found out about this restaurant in the Rick Steve’s guide book of Salamanca . We were not disappointed. From the ambiance, to the delicious appetizers and main course. The dessert presentation of chocolate cake, Chocolate ice cream with a sugar cone and cotton candy was quixotic and inspiring. I enjoyed the Garlic soup and roast suckling pig. The meat had flavor through out and the skin perfectly crisp. My companions enjoyed their entrees as much as I did. Of course the wine selection was tremendous. The cost, very reasonable and much less than a similar meal back home in California. If you come Salamanca, forget the Michelin restaurants, come to Isidros."
"potato chips unnecessary skip them it cheapens the place, fix the bread - it is way too dense, substitute for multigraine country style baguette lighter and nicer; please on the menu describe the fact that there's tuna inside the mixed salad what an unexpected bonus; and note any dish that has eggs in it, such as those that are revuelto & tortilla do not mean huevos in most tounges . super cool that 3 bottles of olive oil were brought to the table but this was only when olive oil was requested - spain produces more olive oil than Italy and yet in Italy it is automatically brought to the table whenever there is bread - you should do the same. spreading flower petals on the table during the dine by the slim youge blond waitress is a very memorable experience, also wrapping the cork around the bottle foil is a nice touch, add cafe to postres automatically in the menu de dia - it leaves the guest with a positive after-taste"
